What You'll Do
As an Assistant Technical Designer, you will Interpret design concepts into a technical package with complete information regarding fitting, grading and garment specifications and construction. This includes communicating the technical package to factories.
- Assist in fit sessions and fit garments with Technical Design team as well as provide fit recommendations and solutions to issues
- Work closely with Technical Design & Design to understand the desired styling and fit intent of each silhouette and develop tech packs that achieve this intent
- Collaborate closely with the Technical Design team to make sure production is consistent with technical specifications
- Work with Technical Design team to evaluate samples and make technical garment audits
- Attend fittings and enter photos and comments into tech packs
- Review and enter measurements into PLM system
- Help to build tech packs in the PLM
What You'll Need
- Basic technical sketching with illustrator and Excel
- 1-3 years’ experience in technical design, pattern making, fitting and spec packages
- Understanding of product engineering and manufacturing process
- Ability to work cross-functionally within business partner environment
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Excellent computer skills including Adobe Illustrator & MS Office Suite
