Accounting Manager / Real Estate Project Accountant & Procurement Coordinator
Location: Manhattan Brooklyn (On-Site Only)

We are an established NYC real estate owner/developer with active multifamily and hotel projects across Manhattan and Brooklyn. We operate lean, expect precision, and move fast. We’re looking for an experienced project accountant with real estate development and procurement coordination experience—someone who understands how development actually works and can manage financial control and material flow without hand-holding.
If you’re strong in accounting, fluent in QuickBooks, and comfortable tracking FF&E/material procurement, this is a role with real impact.
The Role
This is a hybrid position combining:
- Primary: Accounting, financial reporting, AP/AR, reconciliations, job costing, developer-side bookkeeping.
- Secondary: Procurement coordination, FF&E tracking, and support for interior design & construction teams.
Expect deep involvement in the financial backbone of development while keeping materials, vendors, and delivery schedules aligned with project deadlines.
ResponsibilitiesAccounting (Core Responsibility)
- Full-charge accounting for multiple active development entities
- Manage AP/AR, bank recs, credit card recs, vendor setup, W9s
- Job cost tracking, budget updates, variance analysis
- QuickBooks: advanced-level usage required
- Prepare monthly reporting packages for ownership
- Maintain clean financials across multiple LLCs
Procurement & Project Coordination
- Manage FF&E and finish material procurement across projects
- Create and maintain procurement schedules and delivery logs
- Collect quotes, issue POs, track samples, and coordinate vendor communication
- Coordinate with designers, architects, and GCs on specs and substitutions
- Support install coordination, punchlists, and closeout documentation
- Maintain finish schedules, product submittals, and FF&E documentation
Required Experience

- 5–7 years in real estate development, construction accounting, or project accounting- MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN THESE FIELDS-
- Advanced QuickBooks experience (non-negotiable)
- Experience managing procurement, FF&E, or material logistics in development, design, or hospitality
- Ability to read drawings, finish schedules, and design intent documents
- Strong Excel / Google Sheets abilities
- Bachelor’s degree or AA minimum
- Highly organized, detail-driven, and able to push vendors teams for timely execution
- Comfortable splitting time between sites in Manhattan and Brooklyn
