Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise store staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations
- Oversee daily store operations to ensure smooth functioning and high customer satisfaction
- Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, and merchandising to maximize sales opportunities
- Implement sales strategies and promotional campaigns to meet or exceed sales targets
- Handle cash handling, POS transactions, and ensure accurate bookkeeping and payroll processing
- Develop and execute employee orientation programs, training & development initiatives
- Monitor store budgets, manage purchasing decisions, and oversee pricing strategies
- Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, expectations, and provide feedback
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety regulations, and operational standards
- Utilize marketing techniques to increase store visibility within the community
- Maintain excellent communication with staff and customers via phone etiquette and interpersonal skills
Skills
- Proven management experience in retail or grocery store environments with supervising responsibilities
- Strong leadership abilities with excellent organizational skills and time management
- Proficiency in retail math, cash handling, POS systems, and inventory management software
- Exceptional communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus
- Experience in employee recruitment, interviewing, training & development, and team building
- Skilled in merchandising, stocking, pricing strategies, and retail sales techniques
- Ability to handle budgeting tasks and perform bookkeeping accurately
- Customer service-oriented mindset with strong negotiation skills
- Knowledge of wireless sales or grocery store operations is advantageous
- Effective at marketing initiatives to promote store products and services
- Demonstrated ability to manage shift schedules efficiently while maintaining high standards of customer service
