Role Description This is a full-time remote role for Alarm Technicians. In this position, the technician installs, configures, and maintains alarm and life safety systems, including low-voltage wiring and equipment. Daily tasks include performing diagnostics and troubleshooting system issues, testing components, and ensuring that all installations meet safety standards and regulatory requirements. The technician will respond to service requests, provide technical support, and guide customers on system operation and best practices. The role also involves documenting work performed, coordinating with the team, and delivering professional, courteous customer service during all interactions.
Qualifications
- Strong technical skills in Low Voltage Engineering and hands-on experience with Alarm Systems.
- Proficiency in Troubleshooting issues with security and life safety systems.
- Knowledge of Life Safety codes, standards, and best practices related to alarm and monitoring systems.
- Excellent Customer Service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and support customers remotely.
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, wiring schematics, and installation manuals.
- Comfort working independently in a remote environment, managing time and priorities effectively.
- Familiarity with basic networking concepts and use of diagnostic tools is an asset.
- Relevant technical certification or vocational training in electronics, low-voltage, or security systems preferred.
