Duties
- Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment following food safety sanitizing procedures.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, assembling ingredients, and portioning supplies.
- Support bussing duties by clearing tables, cleaning dining areas, and ensuring a tidy environment for guests.
- Handle manual tasks like lifting heavy pots or crates of supplies safely and efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness in all kitchen areas by sweeping, mopping, and organizing storage spaces regularly.
- Operate kitchen equipment such as dishwashers, sinks, and prep stations safely and correctly.
- Follow sanitation standards to ensure food safety management and uphold kitchen health and safety standards at all times.
Requirements
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including lifting heavy items safely.
- Basic understanding of food handling practices and sanitation procedures.
- Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is a plus but not required—training will be provided!
- Good communication skills to work effectively with team members.
- Willingness to learn about food safety management and kitchen operations.
