Responsibilities
- Operate the cash register efficiently during retail sales transactions, ensuring accuracy in cash handling and receipt issuance.
- Assist customers with product inquiries, product demos, and upselling opportunities to enhance their shopping experience.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, including cash drawer handling and merchandising displays.
- Support stock replenishment by stocking shelves and ensuring merchandise is well-presented.
- Use POS (Point of Sale) systems confidently to process payments via cash, credit/debit cards, or mobile payments.
- Provide friendly phone etiquette when answering customer questions or assisting with orders over the phone.
- Promote store products through product demos and suggestive selling to increase sales.
Qualifications
- Previous cashiering or retail sales experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Strong basic math skills to handle cash register operations accurately.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly attitude to connect with customers from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Bilingual abilities are advantageous for serving our varied clientele effectively.
- Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising, and sales techniques is a plus.
