SUMMARY:
The Senior Accountant will work closely with the Controller to ensure month-end closing procedures are completed in a timely and efficient manner. They will also work closely with the Operations team to ensure AIA billings are accurate and submitted appropriately to our customers. This position will interact regularly with our Corporate and Regional executive teams!
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with Regional Leadership and Operations to prepare, review, and submit AIA Billings on all projects in Tennessee.
- Develop, prepare and maintain cash forecast model.
- Prepare daily cash reports & transfers and book appropriate entries.
- Reconcile bank accounts monthly.
- Prepare releases of liens (ROL) within the Accounts Receivable process.
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations within the General Ledger process.
- Assist in the month-end closing process and the compilation of monthly financial statements.
- Analyze all balance sheet accounts.
- Analyze job cost and revenue on a per project basis.
- Enter monthly job cost journal entries.
- Record and track prepaid expenses.
- Other special projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: BS degree in Accounting (Preferred), Finance, or Business
Specific Skills:
- Cost Accounting, Billing, and Cashflow analysis
- AIA Billing Experience a Must!
- Proficiency with Excel
- Excellent Analytical Skills
- Good Organization
- Strong communication skills
- Knowledge of percentage of completion and job cost accounting
- Highly organized and able to meet deadlines consistently.
Experience: Minimum Four years of experience in Construction Accounting.
