QC Lab Tech I, Samples

We have an opportunity to add a QC Lab Technician I to our samples team at our Development Center in Lebanon, OH! The Quality Control Lab Technician is responsible for the testing of materials for both internal and external customers. The main duty of the Quality Control Lab Technician I is to inspect finished goods, work in process and raw materials (new and those for extensions) for general workmanship and tolerances per specifications. Interact and communicate effectively with R/D teams, production, planning, customer service, and other support groups as needed.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform standard evaluation and testing of batch samples from production and R&D
• Be dependable, ability to multi-task, productive and high-quality workmanship
• Maintain accurate records of results
• Perform regular lab verifications and calibrations
• Operate lab equipment:
• Flashpoint analyzer
• Refractive Index / Specific Gravity
• Moisture Balance Testing
• Sensory / organoleptic
• Other lab equipment and testing as needed
• Perform COA testing
• Maintain R&D QC lab equipment, in conjunction with MANE maintenance and engineering team and external vendors. Ensure equipment is working and calibrated to ensure full compliance in testing samples
• Regularly communicate with R&D administration & shipping so that deadlines and prioritization are aligned
• Maintain and upkeep of laboratory
• Other duties in support of company objectives

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma required with at least 2 years’ experience in a laboratory or similar industry experience
• Associate’s Degree within a science related field or equivalent experience in a laboratory or similar industry experience
