Reporting to the Logistics Manager, the Key Accounts Logistics Coordinator is responsible for supporting the logistics operations with Amazon business and all other logistics functions. The role is tasked with planning and scheduling outbound shipments to external customers in a timely, while working closely and collaboratively with the Sales, Sales Ops, Warehouse and Inventory teams. The role is also tasked with ensuring the effective operation of processes and systems within the logistics team. The role is required to complete a variety of tasks with regularly changing targets and deadlines.
Key Accountabilities
Ensure on-time delivery of goods to customers. Investigating and resolving detention issues.
Evaluate shipments, box counts, routing and updating all customer details in relevant ERP systems.
Prepare shipping documents and handle document retention. Schedule pick-ups with freight carriers.
Work closely with the key account Sales team to meet and follow customer guidelines
Identify continuous improvement opportunities and communicate and execute plans
Provide feedback and updates to relevant parties and keep constant communication channels open.
Plan and track shipments according to customer vendor guide requirements
Maintain logs and records of warehouse stock and shipments.
Prepare accurate reports for upper management.
Arrange same-day deliveries whenever possible.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
Experience in reporting, inventory control, documentation and data entry preferred
At least one year general administrative and/or logistics experience required
Must be trainable and able to handle the pressures of the logistics department.
Outstanding organizational and coordination abilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of appropriate ERP systems (ie. Vendor Central, NetSuite, SPS Commerce) required
Proficiency in MS Excel and Outlook required
Familiarity with working in a warehouse environment preferred
Ability to work with autonomy, and perform tasks in a thorough manner
Ability to work in a team environment
Must be proficient on computers, must know how to save and store files
Knowledge is shipping software, such as UPS WorldShip, and FedEx Ship Manager
Familiar with international shipping requirements
Experience in Freight Shipment quoting (call in and through shipping application)
Education and Certifications
High School diploma required
Associated Degree or Certificate in Logistics and Supply Chain Management or related fields preferred
Key Competencies
Ensure all customer orders are handled within agreed timelines.
Maintain prompt communications with all internal and external customers by timely response to all requests and inquiries
Provide the solutions to ongoing issues or requests
Ensure compliance to all Health and Safety legislation / guidelines for self and staff at all times.
Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained at all times.
Escalate issues to senior management within an appropriate time frame.
Other Requirements
Working under supervision following standardized practices and/or methods; providing information and/or advising others; and operating within a defined budget. Utilization of some resources from other work units may be required to perform the job's functions.
The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: occasional walking, carrying, lifting, pushing, and/or pulling; and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally, the job requires 5% standing, 20% walking, and 75% sitting.
This is a full time hourly position based in our Carson Warehouse. Hours may vary but the role typically works onsite Monday to Friday from 7 am to 4 pm.
