Purpose of the Role
We’re looking for a Junior Automation & Integration Developer to join our IT team in Roseland, NJ. You’ll work with the IT team and business stakeholders to help build and improve automated systems, streamline workflows, and support integration between different platforms. This is a junior-level role with hands-on guidance and mentorship from the senior tech staff. The focus is on development and automation; helpdesk support is secondary.
This role may require occasional travel to our satellite offices.
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and maintaining API integrations with platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot, and Actionstep
- Write clean, maintainable Python code using object-oriented and functional programming principles
- Use SQL to support data querying, reporting, and transformation across systems
- Create scripts (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, or JavaScript) to automate routine tasks and workflows
- Collaborate with team members using Git for version control and shared development workflows
- Support the integration of AI tools and platforms (e.g., OpenAI APIs) into internal business processes
- Help design and implement automation solutions using workflow tools or custom scripts to improve operational efficiency
Minimum (Foundational) Requirements
- Working knowledge of Python and some experience with API development or integrations
- Basic to solid understanding of object-oriented and functional programming concepts
- Foundational SQL skills and experience with at least one scripting language (Bash, PowerShell, or JavaScript)
- Familiarity with Git and collaborative development practices
- Exposure to AI tools or platforms, with a basic understanding of how they can be integrated into workflows
- Demonstrated interest or early experience in building automation solutions that improve business efficiency
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with CRM or business platforms such as Salesforce or HubSpot
- Familiarity with workflow automation tools (e.g., Zapier, Make, or similar platforms)
- Strong interest in emerging technologies and continuous learning
Compensation & Benefits: This position offers a salary range of $65,000 - $75,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, and qualifications. Support staff may also be eligible for discretionary year-end bonuses and a merit-based increase. The posted salary range reflects the base pay range for this position.
