Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of rehabilitation programs aligned with organizational goals, ensuring high-quality patient care and service excellence.
- Manage fiscal operations including budgeting, financial management, and resource allocation to maximize efficiency and sustainability.
- Supervise multidisciplinary teams comprising physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and support staff, fostering professional growth and team cohesion.
- Oversee medical office management functions such as medical records, documentation accuracy, EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Epic or eClinicalWorks, and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with medical management and healthcare providers to coordinate patient care plans within acute care or hospital environments.
- Monitor regulatory compliance including JCAHO standards, HIPAA privacy rules, and managed care requirements to ensure accreditation readiness and legal adherence.
- Implement human resources strategies for staffing, training, performance evaluations, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Oversee clinic operations including office management tasks such as scheduling, billing processes involving dental or medical office software like Dentrix or Eaglesoft.
- Utilize data analytics to assess program effectiveness, patient satisfaction metrics, and financial performance for continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Proven experience in healthcare management with a strong background in rehabilitation services or related clinical settings.
- Demonstrated supervisory experience leading multidisciplinary teams in a healthcare environment.
- Extensive knowledge of medical office systems including EMR/EHR platforms such as Epic or eClinicalWorks; familiarity with dental office software like Dentrix or Eaglesoft is a plus.
- Strong fiscal management skills encompassing budgeting, financial oversight, and resource planning.
- In-depth understanding of healthcare regulations including HIPAA compliance, JCAHO standards, utilization management, and managed care protocols.
- Background in medical terminology, medical records management, and clinical documentation practices.
- Experience working within acute care hospitals or outpatient clinics with exposure to hospital accreditation processes like JCAHO is highly desirable.
