Responsibilities
- Supervise and support a team of vocational rehabilitation professionals, providing coaching, mentoring, and ongoing training to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Monitoring of eligibility determinations, plan development, and service delivery by reviewing case files to ensure compliance with agency guidelines, federal regulations and laws.
- Collaborate with employers, community agencies, and stakeholders to identify job opportunities and facilitate successful placements.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state laws and regulations in the provision of services, expenditure of funds and closures.
- Lead workforce development initiatives by designing training programs that enhance clients' service delivery.
- Recruit, hire and retain competent staff across all disciplines in accordance with state personnel and agency guidelines.
- Manages facilities using various forms, contracts, agreements following agency policies and procedures in order to ensure the physical working environment is conducive to staff productivity.
Requirements
- Master's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in rehabilitation counseling, or counseling
- Four years of professional experience providing direct customer services or advising rehabilitation professionals as a part of a vocational rehabilitation plan or independent living program serving indivuduals with disabilities.
- Strong knowledge of employment & labor law to ensure legal compliance in all aspects of vocational services.
- Demonstrated ability in interviewing, mentoring, recruiting, and delivering training & development programs.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate diverse populations while fostering a supportive environment.
- A background in disabilities and workforce development or related fields is highly desirable.
