Overview
This is a seasonal position located at our corporate office in Virginia Beach. The HR Intern will support the HR team with daily operations, assist with special projects, and contribute to research and data gathering efforts.
This is a Full-Time Summer hourly position.Duration: 10-12 weeks.
Responsibilities
- Provide support to the HR department including filing, data entry, and organizing documents.
- Assist with scheduling appointments, managing meetings, and handling employee inquiries.
- Answer phones as needed providing a professional first point of contact.
- Prepare and edit correspondence, reports, and presentations.
- Maintain office equipment and supplies.
- Conduct research on industry trends as needed.
- Assist in planning events and employee engagement activities.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Ability to work independently and part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with office technology and software.
Physical Requirements
Sedentary work -Occasionally exerting up to 10 pounds of force by lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling or otherwise moving objects. Work involves sitting most of the time; walking and standing are required only occasionally.Essential Requirements
