CNC Machine Operator

As we continue to grow, we are looking to bring on a CNC Machine Operator for our Lansdale, PA office. The ideal candidate needs to be reliable, comfortable with utilizing a computer and machinery, and a strong attention-to-detail to ensure precision on deliverables.

Job Summary

Responsible for operating the CNC machine to produce gymnastic safety padding and training equipment products. Will support the broader manufacturing team to ensure deadlines are met. Will ensure the consistent production of the highest quality work.

Primary Responsibilities

• Utilize the CNC machine to cut and prepare vinyl material to be manufactured into Gymnastic safety padding and training equipment. Utilize falloff, where possible, to reduce waste. - 45%
• Read and interpret work orders and the corresponding patterns to ensure exactness and accuracy of each cut order. - 20%
• Perform routine maintenance on the machinery and ensure the area remains clean and organized at all times. - 10%
• Perform quality control on all one’s work to maintain the highest level of integrity of the products. - 10%
• Will perform weekly inventory and notify of any material order needs. - 5%
• Adhere to all OSHA safety laws and regulations. - 5%
• Perform other duties, as assigned. - 5%

Minimum Requirements

Education - High school diploma or GED

Experience - 0-1 years of CNC machine operator experience with fabric, vinyl, wood or similar materials

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

• Understanding and ability to utilize computers and quickly learn new programs
• Strong problem-solving skills to overcome roadblocks and obstacles as they arise
• Strong communication skills to understand instructions and feedback and effectively implement
• Ability to understand patterns layouts and utilize them to cut material properly
• Ability to measure and cut material with precision
• Ability to maintain an exceptional attention-to-detail while adhering to deadlines
• Ability to consistently produce the highest quality work
• Team-oriented attitude with willingness to take direction and help others
• Ability to effectively pivot based on the needs of the company
• Ability to identify needs or foresee issues and take initiative to address them proactively

Preferred Qualifications

Experience - Experience with vinyl or textile cutting; familiarity with double wall fabric or inflatables

Physical Requirements

Will consistently lift, push, and pull up to 20-30 pounds on a frequent basis with up to 50 pounds on occasion. Will consistently be standing, bending, squatting, stooping, and reaching for extended periods of time.
