Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of residential and commercial spaces, including dusting, surface cleaning, floor care, carpet cleaning, and outdoor work as needed
- Implement proper cleaning and sanitation procedures using appropriate cleaning detergents and equipment to ensure hygiene standards are met
- Handle laundry tasks efficiently, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens or clothing items
- Maintain cleanliness of all surfaces by applying effective cleaning techniques and tools
- Operate janitorial and custodial equipment safely and effectively for tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, polishing, and outdoor maintenance
- Manage manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting or moving furniture and supplies safely according to established safety protocols
- Communicate professionally with clients to understand specific cleaning needs and provide excellent customer service while maintaining a friendly demeanor
Qualifications
- Prior experience in residential or commercial cleaning, custodial work or hotel housekeeping is preferred
- Knowledge of cleaning surfaces, floor care, carpet cleaning, dusting techniques, and sanitation procedures
- Familiarity with cleaning detergents, equipment operation, and janitorial best practices
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and outdoor work responsibilities
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently throughout the shift
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration
- Experience with housekeeper management or hospitality environments is a plus
- Demonstrated reliability with a positive attitude toward maintaining high standards of cleanliness
