Job Overview: The Pricing Analyst plays a critical role in supporting the company’s profitability and competitive position by developing, analyzing, and maintaining customer pricing strategies. This position works closely with sales, finance, and operations teams to ensure accurate pricing execution, evaluation of pricing performance, and supports data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate will combine strong analytical skills with business acumen to help the organization optimize margins, respond to market trends, and maintain pricing integrity across all regions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain customer-specific pricing models, contracts, and pricing files.
- Perform root cause analysis on margin leakage or pricing exceptions and recommend corrective actions, ensuring appropriate long-term customer profitability.
- Work closely with the Sales and Finance teams to ensure pricing proposals meet both business and financial goals.
- Establish and enforce pricing governance policies, approval workflows, and guardrails to maintain pricing discipline across the organization.
- Respond to pricing requests and provide guidance for sales reps and account managers.
- Collaborate with product and supply chain teams to factor in cost fluctuations or product changes.
- Provide pricing support for strategic initiatives such as new product launches, regional expansion, competitive pricing trends and market intelligence to support strategic decisions.
- Lead and/or support the implementation and continuous improvement of pricing tools, systems, dashboards and integration with ERP systems, safeguarding pricing accuracy across systems and customer portals.
- Support periodic pricing updates, including list price reviews, promotional pricing, and price increase planning.
- Generate reports and dashboards to communicate pricing performance and opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in pricing, sales operations, financial analysis, or a related field.
- Strong Excel skills required; experience with ERP systems and pricing software is a plus.
- Experience in manufacturing, flooring, building materials, or distribution industries preferred.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage large datasets accurately.
- Collaborate across departments and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualization tools.
- Understanding of different pricing strategies including cost-plus, value-based, and competitive pricing strategies.
- Familiarity with customer rebate structures, freight surcharges, and contract pricing.

Salary : $90,000 - $120,000
