Manchester University invites applications for a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to lead and participate in daily maintenance operations for the North Manchester campus and the Koinonia Environmental & Retreat Center. This role combines leadership and skilled maintenance work, overseeing staff and ensuring facilities, systems, and equipment operate efficiently and safely.
What You'll Do:
Lead and participate in maintenance and repair of campus facilities, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
Supervise and schedule maintenance staff, ensuring quality and timely completion of work.
Monitor building systems, energy use, and equipment to ensure efficient operation.
Coordinate vendors and contractors for repairs, projects, and inspections.
Manage maintenance budgets, safety compliance, and preventive maintenance programs.
Support snow removal and other seasonal campus operations.
What You'll Need:
Bachelor’s degree in building operations or equivalent hands-on experience.
At least five years of maintenance or facilities experience, including leadership or supervisory roles.
Strong initiative, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and general building systems.
Ability to perform physical maintenance tasks and work occasional evenings or weekends.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
