Position Title: IT Network Systems Administrator
Starting Salary: $85,000 - $95,000

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field; or an Equivalent combination of knowledge, background, education, and experience.
- Minimum of five years of experience in network support within a medium- to large-sized organization.
- Must possess a valid State of New Hampshire Motor Vehicle License.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in client/server operating systems and WAN/LAN network environments.
- In-depth knowledge of IP Telephony systems.
- Experience in applying software updates and security patches across both server and desktop environments.
- Expertise in backup and restoration processes for both Server and SAN environments.
- Extensive experience in troubleshooting TCP/IP networks and related issues.
- Proficiency in managing Windows Server Operating Systems, including services like DHCP, DNS, WINS, and Active Directory.
- Experience in administering antivirus solutions across enterprise environments.
- Solid understanding of hardware repair, including desktops, laptops, printers, and servers.
- Familiarity with other software and systems as needed.
Specific Core Function:
- Server Management: Oversee the administration, maintenance, and performance tuning of physical and virtual server environments to ensure optimal uptime and performance.
- Active Directory Management: Manage and maintain Active Directory, including user accounts, group policies, security settings, and domain controllers, to ensure secure and efficient access management across the organization.
- Backup and Restore: Develop, implement, and monitor backup strategies for data and server environments, ensuring timely and successful backups, and manage the restoration process to recover data in the event of failure or data loss.
- SAN Management: Administer and maintain Storage Area Networks (SANs), ensuring efficient data storage, retrieval, and management, while optimizing performance and storage capacity in alignment with organizational needs.
Responsibilities of the Position:
- Security and Compliance: Implement and enforce security policies across the server and network environments, ensuring compliance with industry standards and organizational requirements, including regular security patching and vulnerability assessments.
- Disaster Recovery Planning: Develop, test, and maintain disaster recovery plans for server and SAN environments, ensuring business continuity in the event of major disruptions or failures.
- Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitor the performance of servers, Active Directory, and SANs, identifying and resolving bottlenecks or issues to maintain optimal system performance and availability.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation of the server and network infrastructure, including configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides to support continuity and knowledge transfer.
- Vendor Management: Coordinate with vendors for hardware and software procurement, support, and maintenance, ensuring timely updates, patches, and repairs as needed.
- User Support and Training: Provide technical support and training to IT staff and end-users as needed, ensuring they are proficient in using and managing the systems and tools relevant to their roles.
- Capacity Planning: Perform regular capacity planning for servers, SANs, and other infrastructure components, anticipating future needs and recommending upgrades or enhancements to meet growing demands.
- Automation and Scripting: Develop and implement automation scripts to streamline repetitive tasks and improve efficiency in server, Active Directory, and SAN management.
- System Upgrades: Plan and execute system upgrades, migrations, and deployments, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption to business operations.
- Incident Response: Lead or assist in the response to system incidents or outages, performing root cause analysis, implementing fixes, and documenting lessons learned to prevent future occurrences.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director of Information Technology.

- This is a non-affiliated 228–day salaried position.
