Bilingual Front Desk / Medical Assistant / Phlebotomist

Manatee Primary Care is seeking a dependable, compassionate team member for a combined front desk, medical assistant, and phlebotomy position. We are a physician-led adult primary care practice providing personalized care in English and Spanish.

The ideal candidate has excellent bedside manner, strong phlebotomy skills, and fluency in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients, answer calls, schedule appointments, and manage check-in and check-out.
• Verify insurance, collect payments, and maintain accurate patient information.
• Room patients, obtain vital signs, and update medication lists and medical histories.
• Perform blood draws, label specimens accurately, and prepare samples for laboratory processing.
• Assist the physician with examinations, office testing, and procedures within training and scope.
• Maintain clean, organized examination rooms and supplies.
• Handle patient messages and document accurately in the electronic medical record.
• Protect patient confidentiality and follow infection-control procedures.

Required qualifications

• Bilingual English and Spanish.
• Previous medical office and medical assisting experience.
• Proficiency in phlebotomy and specimen handling.
• Excellent bedside manner and professional communication.
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and ability to manage multiple responsibilities.
• A patient-focused attitude and willingness to support a small team.

Preferred qualifications

• Medical assistant and/or phlebotomy certification.
• Experience in primary care.
• Current BLS certification.
