Essential Job Responsibilities

Adhere to all program policies, procedures, and standards of practice.

Model professional conduct and provide positive leadership for both staff and members.

Monitor member progress and behavior, clearly documenting and communicating observations to the team.

Perform supportive duties that contribute to daily program operations.

Develop a strong understanding of the organization’s mission and the individuals it serves.

Partner with the Director to create strategies that expand member access and opportunities.

Collaborate with staff to design teaching materials and tailor resources to individual needs.

Coach members to remain engaged, productive, and supportive of one another.

Education & Experience

High school Diploma or GED required.

Must be at least 18 years of age (25 years to operate company vehicles).

Must possess a valid driver’s license and have access to reliable transportation.

Clean criminal background check and motor vehicle record
Physical Requirements

Constant walking and supervision of members

Constant speaking and listening to members and others

Frequent use of arms and fingers to grasp, equipment, utensils, and dishes

Frequent bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, twisting in order to interact with members

Occasionally using upper and lower torso, arms, and legs to assist in lifting

Occasionally sitting and maintaining close visual attention to write reports, and using arms and hands to operate computer

Occasionally walking to, bending to enter, sitting, and using upper and lower limbs to drive car

Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time, stand for up to 6-8 hours a day.

Ability to physically implement behavior management strategies including responding to physically aggressive behavior

Visual and auditory ability to work with clients, staff and others in the workplace continuously

Ability to utilize a computer

Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at a time
