ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the architectural design and project management for a variety of projects, from conceptualization to completion.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resources, ensuring that deliverables are met on time and within scope.
- Review and coordinate all aspects of design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
- Supervise and mentor junior architects, designers, and interns, providing guidance and fostering professional development.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, ensuring effective communication and coordination across all project phases.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Oversee the preparation and submission of permit applications and manage the approval processes.
- Assist in the preparation of proposals, including scope, budget, and timeline estimates.
- Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress, address issues, and ensure design intent is maintained throughout the build process.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Self-motivated and self-disciplined in a collaborative studio environment
- Professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in architectural design software (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, etc.).
- Understanding of client communications, contract documentation, project scheduling, team leadership, building design, technical detailing, consultant coordination, construction administration
- Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and standards.
- Able to be flexible and adapt to an ever-changing work environment and prioritize tasks appropriately
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Licensed Architect with 7-10 years of experience in architecture and project management.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture and/or equivalent comparable work experience.
