Role Description The Escrow Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in El Paso, TX, responsible for managing real estate escrow transactions from opening through closing. Daily responsibilities include opening new escrow files, reviewing contracts, gathering required documentation, and coordinating with buyers, sellers, real estate agents, and lenders. The role involves preparing and reviewing settlement statements, ensuring accurate disbursement of funds, and verifying that all conditions and requirements are met prior to closing. The Escrow Officer will maintain compliance with company policies and regulatory standards, resolve transaction issues, and provide clear, timely communication to all parties. This position also includes maintaining detailed records, updating systems, and contributing to a professional, client-focused office environment.

Qualifications

  • Strong escrow and title processing skills, including opening, managing, and closing residential and/or commercial files.
  • Proficiency in reviewing real estate contracts, loan documents, and settlement statements for accuracy and compliance.
  • Solid financial and math skills for balancing files, handling funds, and reconciling escrow accounts.
  • Effective communication and customer service skills to work with clients, agents, lenders, and internal team members.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple transactions and deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve title or escrow issues.
  • Comfort with industry software, general computer literacy, and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Previous experience in title, escrow, or real estate closing strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of relevant real estate and escrow regulations in Texas is an advantage.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework or certification in real estate, title, or escrow is beneficial.
