What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registered Nurse - PASS (Per Diem) position at Mammoth Hospital?
The PASS Department Registered Nurse initiates a plan of care based on identified medical and nursing diagnosis, which is consistent with knowledge of illnesses, injuries, diseases, human behavior, and outlined standards of care. He/ she directs and coordinates with other departments and ancillary personnel to provide a safe environment and a high standard of quality care. The PASS Registered Nurse ensures that all preoperative paperwork, orders and patient care are completed following the PASS Center flow model and Anesthesia pre-op testing guidelines.

- Coordinates with anesthesia provider valuable case information in a timely manner
- Coordinates required consultations with Hospitalists
- Receives and review in a timely manner labs, images, tests, and medical history
- Relay information to proper provider and receive decisions in a timely manner
- Independent decision making regarding what information to relay to whom and in an appropriate time frame
- Participates in care coordination (focus on Total Joint patients)
- After care concerns
- Provide pertinent information to appropriate parties
- Coordinates with PACU for surgical patients
- Assess all patients according to specific anesthesia guidelines as set forth by the Anesthesiology Department.
- Performs surgical preoperative nursing assessment, whether in person PASS visits or telephone (enters into the electronic health record; schedules labs, tests and PAT visit per Anesthesia guidelines).

- Starting wage $55.68 to $67.49 based on qualifications.
