What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Teacher (per diem) position at MAMMOTH HOSPITAL?
The Associate teacher will provide care and developmental instruction to students. The Associate teacher will work closely with the Teacher and Preschool Program Manager to ensure the Preschool room is a safe, fun, loving, educational environment. The Associate teacher will assist in preparing the morning snack for all students. The Associate teacher will also be in charge of making sure morning activities are ready and each center in the classroom is stocked for the following morning. The Associate teacher will help with special events, lesson planning, the Annual Preschool Self-evaluation, and give input on classroom improvements.
What You'll Do:
- Participate in Annual Preschool Self Evaluation.
- Ensure Community Care Licensing and Title 22 Regulations are being met at all times.
- Ensure ratios are always met.
- Participate in any special conditions related to students.
- Communicate with parents about upcoming events.
- Help create Family Fun Nights, Field Trips, and other Special Events.
- Prepare/set up morning activities at the end of every day for the following day.
- Maintain proper day to day supervision of students.

What You'll Need:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 12 ECE Units required.
- Associate Permit preferred. Meets Associate Permit qualifications required.
- Adult/Pediatric First Aid/CPR preferred (willing to obtain immediately after hire).
- 16-Hour Health and Safety Course preferred (willing to obtain immediately after hire).
- Two years experience in Center based Preschool classroom preferred. At least 1 year with children in a daycare or Preschool center. Feels comfortable taking initiative with students, can help redirect behaviors, and help with circle time and small group.
Job Information:
- Per diem, substitute positions available, day shifts.
- Starting wage $26.61 to $32.25 based on qualifications.
