Design Assistant - Women's Contemporary

About the Company

We are seeking a highly organized, creative, and adaptable Design Assistant to support multiple women’s contemporary brands across categories. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical design skills, a sharp eye for product, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with constantly shifting priorities.

About the Role

The Design Assistant will play a key role in supporting the design team through CAD development, AI-generated creative assets, sample organization, showroom setup, and daily operational support.

Responsibilities

• Create and revise CADs, technical sketches, and overview boards for multiple product categories and brands.
• Support the design team by generating AI-assisted creative assets and visual product concepts.
• Maintain accuracy and consistency across all design files, presentations, and product overviews.
• Assist with preparation for internal and external meetings, including organizing materials, boards, samples, and presentation decks.
• Steam, organize, and manage samples to ensure showroom and meeting readiness at all times.
• Help set up and maintain showrooms, seasonal presentations, and market appointments.
• Partner cross-functionally with Design and Sales teams to support daily workflow and evolving business needs.
• Assist with fabric, trim, color, and trend organization as needed.
• Manage multiple tasks and shifting priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
• Provide general administrative and operational support to the design team as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or related field preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience in fashion design or design support, preferably within women’s contemporary apparel.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator is required.
• Strong experience with Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Familiarity with AI design tools and asset generation is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Strong sense of style, color, and contemporary fashion trends.
• Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.
