Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Dishwasher/Food Prep team member to join our dynamic culinary environment. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen, supporting food service operations across various settings including restaurants, hotels, catering events, and banquet facilities. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality and food service, with experience or interest in culinary tasks and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
Duties
- Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to ensure a hygienic environment
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, assembling ingredients, and plating under supervision
- Support bussing duties by clearing tables and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas
- Help with basic food prep for banquets, catering events, or daily restaurant service
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen stations, including sweeping and mopping floors, wiping down surfaces, and disposing of waste properly
- Follow food handling safety protocols to ensure compliance with health regulations
- Assist in setting up and breaking down catering or banquet setups as needed
- Support the culinary team with general kitchen duties to ensure smooth operation during busy periods
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, catering, or hospitality environments is preferred but not mandatory
- Knowledge of food handling safety standards and sanitation procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong teamwork skills and a positive attitude
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings or weekends if required
- Basic culinary skills such as food preparation or cooking experience are advantageous
- Experience in banquet service or hotel kitchens is a plus
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks such as lifting pots or cleaning equipment
