What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Mechanical Design Engineer position at Malone Workforce Solutions?
We are working with a manufacturing client in Romeoville that is looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer. The position will help drive and build the prototype department. This is a direct hire position that would be in office 5 days a week, when not traveling. No sponsorship is available. No B2C/C2C. Must live in the Chicagoland or area.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Will work with the library of Designs and Re-Design Prototypes
- Drive and build the prototype department
- Assist with building the parts with Product Manager and troubleshoot
- Assist with ensuring the quality of the products
Qualifications/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or Knowledge of technical design
- 3 years of CAD CAM Design experience
- Must have extensive knowledge and experience with SolidWorks
- Ideal candidate has metal, steel and plastics experience
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings
- Communicate with corporate and customers when needed
