We are working with a manufacturing client who is seeking a detail‑oriented, proactive Accountant to join their team. This role combines core accounting responsibilities with business administration support, requiring someone who is organized, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment. The ideal candidate is a self‑starter, quick learner, and strong problem solver who can maintain a high level of confidentiality while working closely with the HR & Payroll Department. This is a direct hire position that would be in office 5 days a week. No sponsorship is available. No B2C/C2C. Must live in the San Diego area.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting:
- Manage Accounts Payable, including 3‑way match verification and issuing vendor payments.
- Handle Accounts Receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Prepare and send customer invoices.
- Enter and maintain customer purchase orders (POs).
- Assist the Purchasing Department with creating and managing internal vendor POs.
Business Administration:
- Support staffing activities, including scheduling interviews and coordinating with candidates.
- Perform general administrative tasks such as filing, documentation management, and maintaining internal schedules.
- Run and distribute reports for managers as needed.
- Assist the HR & Payroll Department with documentation and administrative tasks while maintaining strict confidentiality and privacy.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or a related role.
- Strong understanding of AP/AR processes.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to learn quickly.
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Salary : $50,000 - $75,000
