3PL Inventory Manager is responsible for managing the inventory process across two warehouses. The Inventory Control Manager will drive process improvements to inventory controls, while leading cycle counts and physical inventory activities. This position will be responsible for the creation and management of inventory accuracy KPIs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervises daily inventory control activities of the 3GDS warehouse facilities.
- Recruits, selects, orients, trains, assigns, schedules, monitors, coaches, reviews, counsels, and disciplines employees; communicates job expectations; enforces policies and procedures.
- Designs, implements, enforces, and continuously improves processes, reports, and controls to ensure that cycle count activities are executed regularly and to increase inventory accuracy.
- Builds and manages custom dashboards to communicate inventory KPIs
- Plans and oversees the correct execution of the cycle count program and annual physical inventory
- Manages the inventory process flow from product receiving through product shipping.
- Responsible for managing and reconciling inventory counts and oversees the communication, investigation, and problem-solving of discrepancies.
- Provides floor support to supervisors and hourly associates regarding inventory issues and to drive inventory accuracy and storage efficiency.
- Consistently reconciles and monitors inventory adjustments and transfers within the WMS (3PL Central).
- Conducts audits of receiving and stocking procedures and cycle counts to ensure accuracy.
- Maintains and tracks damaged and / or lost items
- Develops and maintains standard operating procedures for inventory management including product handling and storage requirements.
- Meets regularly with warehouse supervisors to review, analyze, and develop plans to improve productivity and loss prevention.
- Develops security policies and procedures to safeguard products within the warehouse.
Minimum Work Experience / Knowledge:
5 years’ inventory control management experience – preferably within a fast-paced 3PL environment
Knowledge of warehouse operation best practices, techniques, and procedures
Experienced in WMS, such as 3PL Central, and inventory management systems
Analytical mindset and expert user of Excel / Google sheets
Strong process documentation and visualization skills with attention to detail
Strong problem-solving skills and organizational skills including effective and efficient space utilization
Proficient in MS Office
Clear and effective written and oral communication skills
Ability to lead and manage staff by motivating team members, providing guidance, and delegating tasks
Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others
Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels
Self-motivated with a commitment to excellence and high standards
Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and ability to safely operate a pallet jack, hand truck, forklift, and other equipment utilized in the warehouse
Minimum Education / Training:
