Onsite Associate

MALLORY SAFETY AND SUPPLY LLC
Redmond, OR Part Time
POSTED ON 9/8/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 11/7/2026

At Mallory Safety & Supply, we're more than a safety distributor—we're a trusted partner to thousands of industrial organizations across the country. For more than 40 years, we've helped customers improve workplace safety through innovative solutions, exceptional service, and a people-first culture.

Today, we're one of the largest independently owned safety distributors in the nation, with more than 40 locations and nearly 600 employees. As we continue to grow, we're looking for team members who enjoy working independently, building customer relationships, and making a real impact every day.

If you're organized, dependable, mechanically inclined, and enjoy staying active rather than sitting behind a desk, we'd love to meet you.

About the Role

As an Onsite Inventory Specialist, you'll become the face of Mallory at one of our customer locations in the Redmond, Oregon area. You'll play an important role in ensuring employees always have the PPE and safety supplies they need by managing inventory, stocking vending machines, completing routine safety equipment inspections, and performing basic troubleshooting and maintenance on vending machines and related equipment.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently, managing their own schedule, building strong customer relationships, and working hands-on in an industrial environment.

This part-time position averages 16–24 hours per week, typically working two days each week, with an additional service day each month dedicated to inspections and inventory management.

Each Monday, you'll spend a short amount of time entering inventory orders into our system. Product is then picked and shipped from our Portland warehouse, allowing you to focus the rest of your week on servicing the customer site by stocking machines, organizing inventory, completing inspections, and troubleshooting equipment as needed.

What You'll Do

Every day looks a little different, but your responsibilities will include:

  • Replenish PPE and industrial safety products in customer vending machines
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance on vending machines, including replacing latches, addressing minor mechanical issues, and troubleshooting equipment components
  • Enter weekly inventory orders into our inventory system
  • Monitor inventory levels and perform routine cycle counts with a high level of accuracy
  • Complete inspections of first aid cabinets, AEDs, emergency eyewash stations, safety showers, and emergency lighting
  • Document inspections and inventory activity using mobile reporting software
  • Build positive relationships with customer employees and Mallory teammates
  • Organize inventory and move product between designated storage areas as needed
  • Identify opportunities to improve inventory accuracy and customer service
  • Stay active throughout the day with frequent walking, bending, lifting, climbing ladders, kneeling, and movement

What You'll Need

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently
  • Friendly, professional, and customer-focused
  • Organized with strong attention to detail and inventory accuracy
  • Mechanically inclined with basic mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve minor equipment issues
  • Comfortable using hand tools and performing basic hands-on repairs
  • Comfortable using technology and learning inventory software
  • Able to manage their own schedule and prioritize tasks
  • Comfortable working in an industrial manufacturing environment around machinery and equipment
  • Able to safely climb ladders, kneel, bend, walk, lift, and stay active throughout the day
  • Willing and able to learn how to service and troubleshoot vending machines and related equipment

Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license with at least two years of driving experience
  • Driving record that meets Mallory's Safe Driver standards
  • Previous inventory, warehouse, merchandising, manufacturing, maintenance, or customer service experience preferred
  • Previous experience working with vending machines, industrial equipment, or basic mechanical repairs is a plus
  • Basic computer skills, including data entry
  • Ability to read and write in English

Work Environment

You'll be working inside an industrial manufacturing facility where you'll spend much of your day on your feet. Responsibilities include stocking vending machines, organizing inventory, opening inspection cabinets, troubleshooting and performing basic maintenance on equipment, and occasionally lifting heavier safety equipment or moving inventory boxes between storage locations.

The role requires frequent physical activity, including walking, bending, kneeling, climbing ladders, lifting, carrying, and working around industrial equipment.
