ENSA North America is hiring a Work at Height Instructor
ENSA North America is seeking a passionate and safety-driven Work at Height Instructor to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic environments, enjoys teaching others, and wants to play a meaningful role in keeping people safe in high-risk industries.
As an Instructor, you will deliver hands-on training at customer sites, ENSA and partner facilities, and on our mobile training towers. You’ll represent ENSA in the field, bringing energy, professionalism, and expertise to every training you lead.
What you’ll be doing
As an ENSA Instructor, you are not just delivering training—you are creating engaging, high-impact learning experiences that help workers stay safe in critical environments.
- Lead engaging, hands-on training courses for diverse groups across multiple industries
- Deliver both classroom and practical, real-world instruction in a variety of environments (including training towers and client sites)
- Create a positive, high-energy learning environment where participants feel confident asking questions and building skills
- Adapt your delivery style to meet different learning styles, experience levels, and group dynamics
- Ensure all training meets ENSA’s high standards for safety, quality, and consistency
- Represent ENSA professionally in the field, building strong relationships with clients
- Identify opportunities to improve training programs and share feedback with internal teams
- Support the ongoing development of training content and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Participate in occasional industry events such as trade shows or client safety days
What we’re looking for
- At-heights experience (personal or professional) required
- Training, coaching, or instructing experience in any capacity preferred
- Wind industry or safety-related experience preferred
- Strong communication skills and confidence leading groups for extended periods of time
- Ability to adapt, problem solve, and stay flexible in changing environments
- Comfortable with frequent travel (often 75% or more)
- Valid driver’s license with a clean motor vehicle record

Qualifications:
Requirements and Qualifications
• Ability to comfortably work at height up to 150m.
• Ability to comfortably stand and present course materials (both theoretical and
practical) in front of a class of students, typically no more than 12 students at a time.
• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent, some college preferred.
• Valid US driver’s license required; valid US passport preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to speak and write fluent
English.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and
Outlook, as well as other software.
• Familiarity with the principles, standards, regulations, equipment, and best practices
related to working at height.
• Knowledge of operating within a quality management system, including accurate
record-keeping and adherence to administrative requirements.
• Ability to understand and clearly communicate technical information to a diverse
audience.
• Experience in the wind energy or telecommunications industries preferred.
• Previous certification as a Work at Height Instructor preferred.
• Previous certification or experience in teaching, emergency response, military, confined
space, climbing or mountaineering, or other challenging or hazardous work
environments preferred.

• ANSI Z359 Fall Protection Standards
• GWO-BST Global Wind Organization Basic Safety Training Requirements
• A10.48 Criteria for Safety Practices with the Construction, Demolition, Modification, and
Maintenance of Communications Structures
• NATE Tower Climber Fall Protection Training Standard
