Disassembly/Reassembly Technician Duties and Responsibilities
Disassembly For Repair (DFR)
- Move the designated vehicle from the DFR Staging Area into the DFR Area, locate an empty parts cart, place it next to the DFR area, and label the parts cart by attaching the printed copy of the window sticker from the management system
- systematically remove and disassemble all damaged parts to be replaced
- Once photos have been obtained, place all parts on the parts cart organized by R&R and R&I
- If additional damage is uncovered during the DFR process, notify the Repair Planner
- Ensure the hardware/small items are loaded on the parts cart and all items on the cart are secured
- If needed, weatherproof the vehicle
- Move vehicle to next staging area
Vehicle Reassembly
- Verify all parts that need to be painted were painted
- Review repair plan for all completed operations
- Install all parts and hardware to vehicle
- Follow the QC checklist for reassembly of vehicles
- Aim head lamps if required
- Check ALL lights and horn
- Quality check all repairs for complete and proper fit, finish and function
Other Duties & Responsibilities
- Possess ability to diagnose and correctly repair damage.
- Participate in meetings.
- Maintain tools and equipment within department.
- Maintain clean and orderly production area throughout the work day.
- Comply with safety and OSHA procedures and requirements including: earplugs, eye-protection, etc.
Pay: $16.00 per hour
