Job Summary:
A Morning Prep Cook prepares and cooks food items for customers in a deli, grocery store, restaurant, or food service establishment. They ensure all food is prepared according to recipes, quality standards, and food safety regulations while providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and assemble breakfast bar foods such as eggs, bacon, hot meals, and other menu items.
- Use deli equipment.
- Maintain food quality, freshness, and presentation standards.
- Follow recipes and portion-control guidelines.
- Monitor food temperatures and adhere to food safety and sanitation procedures.
- Stock and rotate ingredients and supplies according to FIFO (First In, First Out) practices.
- Clean and sanitize work areas, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
- Assist with inventory management and report shortages to supervisors.
- Serve customers courteously and answer questions about menu items.
- Comply with company policies, health regulations, and safety standards.
