Employment-Related Requirements

Employment is contingent upon enrollment in State of Oregon Central Background Registry.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure performance evaluations, data entry and reports are complete, accurate, and up to date. Works directly Program Manager and Supervisors.
  • Review and follow up on central background registry and other required certifications for all staff.
  • Responsible for organizing interview panels, phone calls, materials, and schedules in coordination with Program Manager and Fiscal Specialist.
  • Assist with orientation and new hire processes, including preparing materials and contacting participants.
  • Assist with scheduling of job shadows and new hire trainings as needed by position.
  • Assist with staff personnel files and database, performing data entry and filing in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Ensure compliance with legal requirements, adhere to rules and regulations as stated in the, ACYF Head Start Program Performance Standards, and MCCDC Policies and Procedures.
  • Performs a variety of general office support duties as required in the assigned work area(s).
  • Attend various meetings, trainings and professional development opportunities.
  • Responsible for updating and maintaining Employee Handbooks.
  • Responsible for travel arrangements for program personnel.
  • Assist with reception desk coverage.
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, orally and in writing, including explaining policies, processes, and procedures to others.

Knowledge/Skills/Experience Required

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic knowledge of Human Resources
  • Registration with the Central Background Registry of the Child Care Division.
