Essential Job DutiesDirect, manage, and supervise all Logistics Department employees, ensuring safe, efficient, and timely warehouse and distribution operations.Exercise independent judgment and discretion while performing 100% exempt work.Hire, train, discipline, and terminate employees as needed.Oversee all logistics functions including operations, administration, inventory control, and personnel management.Monitor daily department performance, identify issues, and implement corrective actions.Ensure compliance with SQF, HACCP, GMPs, and AIB Gold standards.Develop and implement best practices, policies, and procedures to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer service.Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.Coordinate with other departments to optimize material flow, reduce inventory costs, and improve accuracy and customer response times.Manage supply chain activities, including vendor and third-party provider relationships.Prepare reports and maintain logistics documentation.Track and review logistics metrics and performance targets daily.Develop and manage the department budget, ensuring expenses remain within approved limits.Assign work, manage schedules, monitor performance, and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.Provide daily leadership, coaching, and performance recognition to staff.Qualifications & SkillsBachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field, or equivalent experience.Minimum 5 years of logistics, warehouse, inventory, and distribution management experience.Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, transportation, and supply chain management.Ability to apply mathematical concepts to inventory planning and demand forecasting.Experience developing policies to prevent aged or distressed inventory.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Dynamics 365 is requiredExcellent written and verbal communication skills.Company DescriptionMALEKO PERSONNEL is the leader in specialized industrial, production, and logistics staffing.
