Full-Time | Hands-On Facilities Role
Looking for a hands-on job where every day is a little different? Were looking for a Move Technician to join a busy facilities team and help keep the workplace running smoothly.
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with their hands, solving problems, and learning new skills. Youll handle office moves, furniture installation, painting, light plumbing, mechanical repairs, and general facility projects.
No two days are exactly alike and you wont be thrown in alone. Youll initially work alongside an experienced team member who will show you the ropes. Once youre comfortable, youll have the opportunity to work independently and take ownership of your projects.
What Youll DoMove, relocate, assemble, and disassemble office furniture, cubicles, and equipment
Assist with office moves and workplace reconfigurations
Perform light plumbing, mechanical, carpentry, and general repair work
Repair and prepare drywall and perform painting projects
Install shelves, TVs, monitors, whiteboards, and other wall-mounted items
Perform light floor repairs and general facility upkeep
Create and manage keys for office spaces
Complete daily facility inspection walks
Track and document completed work orders through a CMMS system
Maintain tools, equipment, and supplies
Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment
Work alongside experienced technicians while learning the facility and systems
You dont need to know everything on day one. Were looking for someone who is reliable, mechanically inclined, hands-on, and willing to learn.
High school diploma or equivalent
Comfortable using basic hand and power tools
Mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills
Basic plumbing knowledge
Experience with painting, drywall, or general repairs is a plus
Experience with furniture assembly and relocation
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and remain active throughout the day
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently after training
Experience in facilities maintenance, moving, furniture installation, carpentry, plumbing, mechanical work, or electrical work is a plus. You dont have to be an expert in every area the right attitude and willingness to learn are just as important.
