Custodian

Seeking Custodians for logistics facility in Hagerstown, MD(Downsville Pike/Oak Ridge Dr). This is a janitorial position that will require MILES of walking a day.

Overview:

• $15.38/hour
• steel-toe or composite shoes/boots required

Shifts:

• Schedules:
  • (4)10 hours shifts
    • Sunday-Wednesday, 7a-5:30p
    • Wednesday-Sunday, 7a-5:30p
    • Sunday-Wednesday, 6p-4:30a
    • Wednesday-Sunday, 6p-4:30a

Essential Janitorial Duties and Responsibilities:

• Pick up and dispose of trash and debris throughout jobsite, haul trash to dumpsters
• Sweep and clean work areas throughout the project
• Able to distinguish between trash/scrap and stored materials
• Work in an organized manner completing areas as you go
• Work in close proximity with other trades in a fast-paced environment
• Other responsibilities as assigned
• This is a PHYSICALLY DEMANDING position. It entails A LOT of walking (miles a day) and includes emptying trashes (heavy lifting) and cleaning outside areas: Yard area, guard shack, smoke area, etc.

While janitorial is a good part of the services we offer, we also handle various other tasks. Tasks include, but are not limited to:

• Removing and Bailing Cardboard
• Moving and stacking Pallets
• Floor cleaning
• Fork truck operation
• Need to be open to ALL tasks

Qualifications:;

• Previous experience in a janitor, custodian, cleaner or housekeeping position preferred
• Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling greater than 50 lbs.
• Must be able to follow basic safety procedures and precautions due to physical risks and exposure to hazardous chemicals
• Must have reliable transportation
