We are seeking a Business Applications Systems Administrator to support a complex, enterprise environment focused on application stability, performance, and security. This role operates as a Tier 2 support function, responsible for troubleshooting, configuring, and maintaining business-critical applications while ensuring alignment with security and audit requirements.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong mix of application support, systems administration, and business process analysis experience, with the ability to work closely with both technical teams and end users to drive operational efficiency and system reliability.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Tier 2 application support, troubleshooting issues across software, databases, and integrated systems
- Analyze, configure, and maintain business applications, workflows, and system processes
- Collaborate with IT teams and end users to identify issues, define requirements, and implement solutions
- Support application installations, upgrades, patches, and ongoing maintenance activities
- Coordinate testing efforts including unit, integration, and user acceptance testing
- Assist in managing application releases, deployments, and post-go-live support
- Develop and maintain documentation including business processes, system configurations, and user specifications
- Support data integrity, security controls, and proper access management across systems
- Assist in minimizing system customizations by leveraging out-of-the-box functionality where possible
- Participate in project coordination, including planning, timelines, and stakeholder communication
- Monitor and troubleshoot performance issues across applications and databases
- Work with vendors and third-party partners to resolve system-related issues
- Contribute to continuous improvement of processes, automation, and system efficiency
- 3 years of experience in application support, systems administration, or business systems analysis
- Strong experience troubleshooting web-based applications and enterprise systems
- Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server (2019 ) and T-SQL scripting (queries, views, procedures)
- Experience with Windows Server environments and basic Active Directory administration
- Familiarity with web technologies such as IIS, Apache, Tomcat, or similar platforms
- Understanding of business processes, workflows, and ERP system architecture
- Experience with change management, patching, and system upgrades
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills working with both technical teams and business stakeholders
- Experience with Workday (Security, Integrations, Reporting)
- SQL Server Database Administration experience (performance tuning, backups, security)
- Exposure to testing frameworks (unit, integration, regression, UAT)
- Experience with scripting or automation (e.g., Python)
- Familiarity with virtualized environments and infrastructure capacity planning
- Experience working in regulated or compliance-driven environments
- Knowledge of disaster recovery planning and execution
