Duties
- Collect blood samples using venipuncture and skin puncture techniques with precision and care
- Prepare and process specimens according to laboratory protocols to ensure sample integrity
- Verify patient identities and accurately document all collection details
- Maintain strict aseptic technique to prevent contamination and ensure sample quality
- Assist with specimen labeling, storage, and transportation to the laboratory for analysis
- Provide excellent patient service by explaining procedures clearly, addressing concerns, and ensuring comfort throughout the process
Requirements
- Proven experience in laboratory procedures, techniques, or clinical laboratory settings
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and blood sampling methods
- Hands-on experience with venipuncture, blood sampling, and specimen processing
- Familiarity with hospital or healthcare environment protocols and patient care standards
- Strong understanding of laboratory techniques and aseptic procedures
