Position Overview:
The Development Engagement Manager plays a key role in advancing Making Opportunity Count's fundraising, volunteer engagement, and community outreach efforts. This position focuses on building and strengthening relationships with donors, volunteers, community partners, and supporters through meaningful engagement opportunities, stewardship activities, communications, events, and fundraising initiatives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage donor acknowledgement and stewardship processes.
- Develop donor cultivation and appreciation activities.
- Coordinate impact reports, donor updates, and stewardship communications.
- Support annual giving campaigns and donor retention strategies.
- Maintain donor engagement tracking and CRM records.
- Conduct donor prospect research and relationship tracking.
- Develop donor-focused newsletters, campaign communications, appeals, and stewardship materials.
- Collect stories, outcomes, and program updates for fundraising purposes.
- Support fundraising campaigns through written content and engagement strategies.
- Assist with sponsorship materials and donor-facing collateral.
- Track volunteer participation and outcomes.
- Support corporate volunteer groups and employee volunteer opportunities.
- Research and prepare smaller foundation, corporate, civic, and sponsorship requests.
- Manage grant calendars and reporting deadlines.
- Coordinate supporting documentation and submission requirements.
- Assist Development Manager with larger grant opportunities.
- Maintain relationships with smaller funding partners.
- Maintain fundraising and engagement databases.
- Prepare reports and performance dashboards.
- Support departmental planning and campaign implementation.
- Assist with special projects that advance fundraising and engagement goals.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Five years of experience in fundraising, nonprofit development, volunteer management, community engagement, marketing, communications, or related fields.
- Demonstrated experience building relationships with donors, volunteers, community partners, or stakeholders.
- Strong written communication and storytelling skills.
- Excellent organizational and project management abilities.
- Experience with CRM databases and donor management systems preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Passion for community impact and mission-driven work.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times

Compensation:
A salary within the range of $78,200 to $105,800 annually will be provided to the successful candidate having met the minimum requirements for the position consistent with the MOC compensation philosophy.
