Position Overview:
Making Opportunity Count Summer Youth Worker (SYW) position through our Jobs4Youth program is designed to promote career development, exploration, and professionalism skills for young people. The program offers a three-month paid summer employment experience for 14 - 24 years old. There are various offices and departments for SYW. This is temporary work available from June – August.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Job responsibilities will differ based on the offices and department where the employee is located
- The employee will complete up to 20 hours of work per week
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Dependable transportation needed.
- Must enjoy working with people, demonstrate dedication and communication skills.
- Must be available to attend pre-summer training and be available to work throughout the summer.
- Must be age 14 – 24, and must be at least 14 by July 1st.
- Must provide / or obtain MA work permit if ages 14 – 17.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, talk, use a keyboard, use a telephone and climb stairs
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.

Compensation:
A salary within the range of $15.00 per hour will be provided to the successful candidate having met the minimum requirements for the position consistent with the MOC compensation philosophy.
