Overview
We are seeking a Maintenance/Landscape Worker to play a vital role in maintaining the safety and functionality of our outdoor spaces. This position offers the opportunity to work outdoors, ensuring grounds are well-kept. You will be responsible for performing a wide range of landscaping and maintenance tasks that keep our facility inviting and operational year-round.
Duties
- Perform landscape maintenance including mowing, trimming, planting, pruning trees, and gardening.
- Safely operate hand tools and power tools.
- Maintain irrigation systems by inspecting, repairing, and adjusting sprinklers to ensure proper watering of lawns and gardens.
- Assist with tree care activities including trimming, pruning, planting, and removal to promote healthy growth and safety.
- Carry out routine maintenance on equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met.
- Inspect and identify equipment or machines in need of repair or maintenance
- Perform regular preventative maintenance to ensure that machinery continues to run smoothly
- Follow standard procedures for plumbing leaks
- Do minor repairs, such as fixing leaky faucets, unclogging drains, or repairing doors and fences
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and organized work areas
- Record and report completed repairs and items that require further attention
Requirements
- Basic mechanical knowledge combined with experience using hand tools, power tools, and landscaping equipment.
- Proven experience in lawn care and landscape maintenance.
- Ability to operate power tools, lawnmowers and other equipment safely and efficiently.
- Knowledge of tree care techniques including trimming, pruning, and planting.
- Familiarity with irrigation systems and general groundskeeping tasks.
- Ability to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and perform outdoor work in various weather conditions.
- Excellent attention to detail along with a proactive approach to maintenance tasks.
Pay: $17.00 per hour
