Major, Lindsey & Africa’s Interim Legal Talent group has an immediate need for an Interim Assistant Legal Counsel to assist with commercial agreements.
Overview: Our client seeks a skilled commercial attorney for a three plus month assignment.
Company: Our client is a well-respected professional services firm headquartered in Boston.
Experience: Five or more years’ experience acquired in a top law firm and in-house environment advising on commercial agreements.
Location: Hybrid; Back Bay
Responsibilities Include:
- Review, negotiate and draft a variety of commercial agreements including vendor agreements, engagement letters, IT vendor agreements, consulting agreements, data license agreements, confidentiality agreements, statements of work, and office contracts.
- Serve as a point of contact for internal clients regarding contractual questions.
- Advise of potential legal and economic risk arising in commercial agreements.
Qualifications Include:
- Excellent academic credentials including a baccalaureate degree and a law degrees from well-respected and accredited national schools.
- At least five years’ experience acquired in a top law firm, professional services firm, or other in-house environment advising clients on commercial agreements.
- Comfort in working with both junior and senior members of the client’s teams.
- Experience with litigation support, AI vendors, pharmaceutical research, and/or data privacy a plus.
- Willingness to work in a rich feed-back environment.
Pay rate: $90-$95
Individual compensation offered for this position within the pay range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
