JOB SUMMARYRepresents Major Hospital as the initial contact for any/all Patient Access Services including but not limited to: scheduling of diagnostic procedures, pre-registration/pre-admission data collection, initiate precertification/verification of insurance for inpatients, verification of benefits and precertification requirements, authorizing diagnostic procedures, ensuring medical necessity guidelines are met, assisting provider offices in co-ordination of care, provides cost estimates and payment options to patients, follows pre-paid accounts and notifies patients of discrepancies between estimated and actual cost, customer service support to the hospital in registration functions.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
