Maintenance (General) - Maintenance & Operations

Primary Duties:

We are seeking a dependable and skilled General Maintenance Technician to support the upkeep and safety of our facilities. This position involves a variety of responsibilities, including outdoor work, equipment operation, and general repairs. The ideal candidate will have experience across multiple maintenance areas and be comfortable working in a hands-on environment.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

1. Perform roof repairs and basic roofing maintenance as needed
2. Conduct general lawn care, including mowing, trimming, and seasonal upkeep
3. Complete a variety of outdoor maintenance tasks in different weather conditions
4. Inspect and repair playground equipment to ensure safety and functionality
5. Operate and maintain equipment and tools required for daily tasks
6. Identify maintenance issues and report or resolve them in a timely manner
7. Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment

Qualifications:

1. Physical ability to routinely lift objects up to 50 pounds, occasionally up to 80 pounds, as well as bend and twist while working with materials
2. Ability to document in writing completion and progress of work assignments
3. Ability to work cooperatively with others, to speak clearly, and listen effectively.
4. A valid Georgia Driver's License
5. Attained a minimum age of 21 years to perform assignments while driving a district vehicle
6. Experience in general construction/carpentry preferred
7. Experience with general roofing preferred
8. Ability to use tablet and smart phone devices to communicate through talk, text, and information sharing
9. Ability to drive a forklift preferred
 
Work Schedule: 
12-month position (248 Days)

Typical work week M-F, 7 a.m. - 4 p.m.
