We are a well-established, high-end residential design-build remodeling firm seeking an experienced Full-Charge Construction Bookkeeper to support our growing operations. This role is ideal for someone who understands the financial rhythm of construction, values accuracy and accountability, and takes pride in keeping complex projects financially healthy from start to finish. This role is ideal for a self-directed professional who understands the complexities of construction accounting and takes full ownership of the books from day-to-day transactions through monthly close.About the RoleYou will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records for multiple active projects, with a strong emphasis on Work-in-Progress (WIP) accounting and job cost reporting. You will work closely with ownership and project management to ensure financial clarity, timely reporting, and sound decision-making.Key ResponsibilitiesFull-cycle bookkeeping using Sage Contractor 100Perform and manage Work-in-Progress (WIP) accounting and monthly WIP schedulesTrack and reconcile job costs, budgets, and cost-to-completePrepare monthly financial statements and detailed job cost reportsManage accounts payable and receivable managementPayroll processing and payroll reportingMonth-end and year-end closeCoordinate with CPA on tax filings, audits, and year-end adjustmentsMaintain internal controls and best practices for construction accountingServe as the primary financial point of contact for ownershipEnsure compliance with internal controls and best accounting practicesServe as a trusted financial resource for ownership and leadershipCollaborate with internal teams to improve processes and efficienciesEnsure compliance with internal controls and best accounting practices Required QualificationsProven experience as a Full-Charge Bookkeeper in constructionStrong working knowledge of Sage Contractor 100Hands-on experience with WIP accounting and job costingSolid understanding of construction financial reportingExperience working with project managers and ownership teamsStrong Excel skillsHigh attention to detail and accuracyStrong organizational and time-management skillsProfessional discretion and integrity Preferred QualificationsExperience in residential remodeling or design-build constructionFamiliarity with cost-plus and fixed-price contractsAccounting or finance coursework or degree Why Work With UsEstablished, respected company with a focus on craftsmanship and qualityProfessional, collaborative leadership teamClear expectations and autonomy in your roleCompetitive compensation based on experienceOpportunity to bring structure and clarity to a growing operationOpportunity to help shape and improve internal financial systems CompensationThis is not a data-entry bookkeeping position. This role carries full responsibility for construction accounting, WIP schedules, job costing accuracy, and financial reporting. Salary : $50,000 - $70,000
