What are the responsibilities and job description for the Commercial Lender (Government Contract Lending) position at Mainstreet Bank?
Description
- Compile and analyze data for commercial loan requests with a focus on Government Contract Lending.
- Negotiates credit terms, such as costs, loan repayment methods and collateral specifications.
- Develops and maintains interest rate structure to be consistent with financial institution policies and procedures, and to be competitive with current market rates.
- Evaluates potential customer loan requests and makes loan recommendations to management.
- Maintain compliance with loan policy, procedures and documentation, including loan package preparation, while properly structuring, underwriting and pricing.
- Provide on-going service to existing clients.
- Establish relationships to expand lending opportunities.
- Participates in community outreach efforts.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field.
- Minimum seven years related experience.
- Knowledge and understanding of commercial lending policies and procedures.
- Strong communication, sales and negotiation skills.
