Nurse Practitioner - Dually Licensed (PMHNP and FNP/AGNP)

Job Summary: 

The CRNP provides acute and chronic medical care to those combatting substance use disorders and mental health concerns. 

Responsibilities include: 

• Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess client’s clinical problems and health care needs. 
• Provides history and physical exams for new admissions. 
• Records physical findings, and formulates individual plan and prognosis, based on client’s condition. 
• Discusses case with physician, counselors, and other health professionals to prepare comprehensive client care plan. 
• Submits health care plan and goals of individual clients for periodic review by the medical care team. 
• Prescribes or recommends medications or other forms of treatment such as needed. May refer clients for consultation to outside healthcare resources for treatment. 
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: 

EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS 

• Nurse Practitioner licensure (Virginia required) 
• DEA (Virginia required)

EXPERIENCE 

• A minimum of one (1) year experience working in a psychiatric care setting or mental health/substance use disorder environment preferred. 

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS 

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills Experience promoting good health and maintenance.

Job Type: Full time, shift work, 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:30pm, direct care position, on-call

Salary : $170,000 - $180,000
