What you have
- Associate/Bachelor Degree in Accounting or 10 years of Equivalent Experience
- Vacation rental accounting experience required.
- Condo Association accounting experience required.
- Knowledge of month end financial close a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to interact patiently, tactfully, and diplomatically with internal and external guests.
- CAM license for Florida
- Process Accounts Receivable including association and intercompany billing.
- Process Accounts Payable, including monthly rental statements and payments.
- Prepare Daily Revenue Reports for vacation rental division.
- Assist with month end close process including produce/distribute financial packages.
- Prepare monthly sales tax and occupancy tax filings, monitor all applicable taxes are current, collected / or accrued, and processed.
- Prepare Balance Sheet reconciliations.
- Monitor property permits, licenses and applicable vendor contracts are current.
- Demonstrate the ability to effectively identify problems and generate solutions.
- Ensure a strong accounting and operating control environment to safeguard assets, improve operations and profitability. Ensure compliance with all applicable local laws and procedures.
- Advise Divisional Controller on existing and evolving operating / financial issues.
- Assist in creation of accurate Forecast, Annual Budget and business plan process.
- Ensure meeting of all required deliverable deadlines.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Ensure strong local internal control environment, periodically audit and assess operation areas of risks.
- Ensure compliance with standard and local operating procedures.
- Support and complete additional duties as necessary and assigned.
- Respond to owner, guest and management inquiries as needed.
- Participate in association and owners meetings.
- Travel to attend association meetings, owners meetings, training and property visits as needed.
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
