Job Summary: Cleans and decontaminates surgical instrumentation and patient care equipment. Collects, receives, and sorts instruments. Job Description: • Follows manufacturer instructions and departmental procedures to ensure proper cleaning, decontamination, and preparation of surgical instruments and patient care equipment • Collaborates with interdepartmental staff to prioritize workload, meeting both daily schedules and urgent surgical needs • Locates, collects, and prepares instruments for pickup or delivery, including packaging for offsite locations as needed • Maintains and operates decontamination and sterilization equipment in accordance with organizational, regulatory, and safety standards • Monitors sterilization indicators and maintains accurate records for quality assurance and compliance Qualifications: • Certification as a CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) through HSPA or CSPDT (Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician) through CBSPD required within two years of hire • Strong attention to detail and adherence to infection control standards • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment • Prior experience in sterile processing or related healthcare support preferred Compensation Information: $15.78 - $29.51 The hourly pay range shown represents the base pay range for this position. Individual pay is determined based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, and market considerations. In addition to base pay, eligible team members may earn additional compensation through shift, weekend, holiday, on-call, and other applicable differentials.
